Yep, me too. The whole idea of getting one of these is that it's a useful car, and a sporting car, all in one. Don't "save" it. Drive it!

Daily driver, and probably better in that role than the BMW I traded in on it. Have a minivan to haul the dog around in when I need to (greyhounds do not ride in Jaguars).

Daily driver. My only driver. I sold my Lexus GS 430 a couple of week after getting the 2012 XF Premium.

I daily drive my XF. My XF replaced my X-Type which I bought to replace my Solstice as the daily driver. I sold both cars to get the XF earlier this year.

How do you feel about the Jag compared to the GS that you owned? I was actually considering an LS460, and I still may check into it. However the 460 doesn't strike me as something you'd want to drive every day as your only car. Did the XF replace a lot of the features you needed/missed/liked in your GS?

I had a 2001 GS that I bought in 2003. I can say that it was the most reliable car I've ever owned. It is a much sportier ride than the LS (L for luxury) and did have a 300HP V8, but no comparison to the XF.

I bought the car for business reasons and ended up keeping it much longer than I expected for a lot of different reasons.

If you wanted something that was a comfortable ride for a long trip, but would still get up and go when needed it was a great car. I strongly considered getting a dedicated sports car and keeping it for the daily ride.

Once I decided on the sport luxury car, I drove a lot of cars and was down to the BMW 535 with M-sport package or the Jag. While I liked the BMW a lot and it met all my original criteria, the Jag just made my heart race. The really tough decision was between a 2010 XF SC and the 2012 XF portfolio (demo with 9000 miles). I just ended up liking the ride a little better on the 2012 and they were willing to negotiate on the price. And the London Tan interior (middle aged, single, DAF - date approval factor) had NOTHING to do with it. :-)

Long answer. Ok, my best impression is that the car is somewhere between the GS 430 and the Porsche I had just before that. Great ride, but punch and fun when you want it.
