Hi Mark,

What are the symptoms leading you to want to try replacing the CPS or CKPS? Also, is your car an 1994 X300 or a 1994 XJ40?

If you're fairly certain the CPS (XJ40 terminology) or CKPS (X300 terminology) is a prime suspect, I would recommend you fork out for a new one, because it is one of the common causes of sudden no-starts and keeping a spare in the boot/trunk is a good idea anyway.

Cheers,

Don

Hi Mark,

I see that your signature line shows your car as a '95 - I was confused by your OP.

Ross' question about the tach reading while cranking is the most relevant right now so let us know.

Cheers,

Don
