Greetings, The windshield wiper warning light came on today.I refilled with fluid, but the light stays on.Is there a trick to resetting it. Thanks Kelly

 

I had this problem when I first got my XJ6. The floater switch for the wiper fluid sensor can easily become jammed open once the wiper fluid gets low. Although I solved this problem by installing a new wiper fluid level sensor (I'd ordered it before draining and examining the reservoir), I believe that you may be able to fix it by simply pulling the sensor from the reservoir and unjamming the float switch.

To avoid this problem in the future, I have been keeping a close watch on my wiper fluid level so that it doesn't get low enough to trigger the switch.
