ok,i dropped my jag in midtown Manhattan today at xjr auto repair

no further diagnosis yet but mechanic told me for the best bet, it was just because i installed a shifter assembly from a donor car and my jag ecu recognized as a foreign part and triggered the transmission fault but he should able to use jaguar dealer spec software to reprogram that.

i hope that's the only case and i really don't wish to dump more and more money into this blackhole.

i will keep posted

Default Finish the story

I agree with S&Z: it would be useful if folks provided lots more details to allow education to occur.

Hello
Great videos - I watched and listened to all of the 6 videos (per your weblink in post# 26) on the mercedes 722.6 transmission repair (replace Electrical Conductor Plate and 13-PIN CONNECTOR ADAPTER PLUG). Looks like this might be the resolution to your issue.

Also there is a related post here on the Jaguar Forums about the replacing the Electrical Conductor Plate (XKR):

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...sol-abc-87000/

I just found this P0715 DTC on 2001 XJR on the Roadfly forum website dated 10/14/2004 (in their achives). It has a lot of information on how to troubleshoot the XJR transmission electronics to find and fix the P0715 DTC on mercedes 722.6 transmission.

Posting this here too just in case someone knows.. [Archive] - Roadfly Car Forum & Off Topic Forum Community
