XJ Models Electronic Engine Controls & ECM
Hi
I was searching the JTIS21 Shop Repair Manual for information about the Throttle Body function and found this section on Electronic Engine Controls.
I extracted the information and created this PDF file:
XJ Range Electronic Engine Controls.pdf
The information in the file covers all of the XJ model range with lists of the components and sensors that send information to the Engine Control Module (Accelerator pedal and mechanical guard position sensors; Throttle (blade) position sensor).
It also includes illustrations of components location in the engine compartment and electrical diagrams related to the ECM and components/sensors.
There is a Throttle Body illustration showing the location of the Throttle Position Sensor, Accelerator pedal and Mechanical guard position sensors.
Look at pages 7-9 for infromation on the Throttle Sensors and Control.

Jim,
You need your very own sticky to list links to all of your extractions, much like the XK8/R FAQ sticky. As your post you could edit it and keep it in logical order.
Thanks for all your efforts

Hi testpoint
I could create a PDF file that would list all the extracts sorted and organized by sections along with their forum posting links (webpage addresses to find them on the forum).
Sounds like a plan to me. Another fun project.
