Default 12v source for dashcam?

Any suggestions for a location under the dash to tap for switched 12v power? No fuse box in footwells, the usual convenient spot. If you remember the wire colors as well as the exact location, all the better.

There is switched 12v under the inside mirror cover, powering the rain sensor and mirror tint, but not enough physical space to include the inverter necessary to power the dashcam.

It's been years since mine was installed (Blackvue) 2CH650, but seem to remember my installer who was really experienced ing addons for Jaguars used the cigarette lighter plug in the back of the front console. It's really easy to remove the back plate and get to the wiring if memory serves me correctly. My dashcam didn't need and inverter, what make and model are you using?

Cobra SC-100. Looks a lot like yours. If your power cord has a USB terminal, it is a 5v device. Your installer probably hid the converter behind the dash.
But thanks for the tip; I'll look into using that route.
