Motor went out on my XJL 5.0L non super charged. Can I swap in a motor from a 10-12 XF 5.0L non supercharged? I would think the answer would be yes but everytime I look at compatibility charts from used engine resellers they seem to only list the XF and XK being interchangeable. But I am pretty sure all this cars use the same AJ113 motor correct?

How did your engine fail? How many miles?

Mine had a bearing failure at 70k

 

Not sure because someone else was driving the car...it was 64k miles on it....but there are large chunks of metal in the intake so when we pull it apart we might get an idea of what happened...
