Default 2011 XJL - Scrapes going into garage

Anyone have any ideas as to how to reduce or stop the scraping when I drive into the garage at my condo complex? It is steep. I've heard scraping before in other cars, but this is the worst I've ever heard.

Any input appreciated.

Other than moving I'm not sure there is much you can do. The bottom of the xj is all covered in plastic covers and is most likely what is rubbing. There must be a lot of cars with this problem in your complex because the xj is not a particullary low riding car maybe you can talk with the management to have them correct the steep angle. Good luck.

Thx for all the input. Well moving is not really an option. I have found that if I go in slow and at an angle that the car doesn't scrape. Now I just need to find an angle to come out. I've tried coming out the same way I go in and that doesn't work! Ugghhh!

As per Brutal, or try reversing in. Or maybe lay a wooden joist across the base of the slope to reduce the angle. _/ __--/

Thx. Yes, Brutal is right about going in slow at an angle. That works. Coming out is the problem. Since, its a condo complex coming out in reverse is an issue because you can't really see well and could hit someone.

I'm beginning to think because of the long wheel base on the XJL the car is scraping.
