Default 2012 XJL no start

I disconnected the battery overnight from my XJL and now the vehicle will not start. Is there some type of security system or reset procedure that is preventing the vehicle from starting? All help is greatly appreciated!!

Do you have the Driver Handbook with the car ? If so, does it have anything in it about battery disconnection ? On my own car, the previous model, (X358 2007), there is a section on disconnecting the battery, but whilst a number of things need re-setting and checking, there is nothing about any security data re-entry.

Why was the battery disconnected?

What is the voltage across the battery terminals with the ignition in the OFF position?

Are you saying the starter turns the engine, but the engine does not start?

I was doing a front break job on the vehicle and a driver side lug nut snapped off trapping the wheel on the vehicle. I originally thought to use my TIG machine to weld the nut back on the piece remaining in the wheel so I removed the battery. After determining this to be too difficult i used a 3/4 inch hole saw and was able to cut through the remaining lug nut with minimal effort and free the wheel. I guess when I reinstalled the battery it freaked the system out and I had to reprogram the key fab to the vehicle. It is running fine now with no issues.
