its cheating if you reset the trip WHILE you're at 60mph and coast

In my opinion, the measurement that really counts is average over a longer term - at least one tank, preferably longer.

Also, the MPG estimate in my 3.0 is consistently 10% over, compared to the "brim to brim" method.

My average per tank is varying from 20 to 22 MPG.

I also found the mileage on my 2014 XJR much higher than I was expecting?
On a 80 mile work commute I was getting 22-24 MPG. But the most surprising was a 3 day 2500 mile trip multi-state trip where I got 27.8 mpg and an average speed of 79 mph including gas stops.

Also matters which gallon you are referring to. UK gallon is almost 4.55L, the US gallon is 3.8L.

Regardless that mpg is insane. I have never broken 28 US gallon mpg (33.5 UK gallon mpg). Nice accomplishment. I’ll add you to the leaderboard (that no one else posts to, LOL).

Again, if you use the display to get your information as to your mpg.......you're delusional. The ONLY way to determine true mpg is gallons used into milaage traveled, I'd suggest not posting you mpg if your using the display for your info.

It's Jaguar marketing psy ops, to make you feel good so you'll tell your friends and they'll buy one, too. The MPG display is cheap marketing that's always in your face.

I drove my 2012 5.0 N/A from Norfolk, VA to San Diego, CA in July 2017. Total distance 3108 miles. Displayed average mpg 27.6. Measured mpg (miles covered vs fuel added) 27,5.

2017 3,0 F-Pace. San Diego to Chicago July 2019, 2719 miles. Displayed 26.4. Measured 26.2.

I'd call that within acceptable limits.

Here is a 50 mile trip and I normally drive at least 10 over no matter where I'm headed.
Granted I live in NASCAR country and everyone seems to speed all the time, which I love.
