Is gas mileage on a 1997 XJR?

 

I average around 14 mpg in my 99 vdp so I imagine it might be around that or slightly worse. If you drive like I drive it's definitely going to be worse, but if you are mostly highway and take it easy you should see 14 or slightly better.

 

My XJR averages between 16 and 17 mpg, and about 13 mpg in the city. Could probably do better if I had a lighter right foot. Trip computer is a bit pessimistic, shows worse than actual consumption numbers.

 

my xjr 2004 4.2 SC X350 uses normally a gallon on every 22,5 miles

 

I get 12-14mpg city, 20-22 highway. Gentle driving.

If you keep your boot in it, well.........
