Hi guys, has any body got this very brief noise when accelerating from 0 on XJR?
Appreciate any input

Hi, if you listen carefully as soon as I pushed the accelerator it is a very brief like buzzing noise

 

I couldn't hear any buzzing in the clip but there is something on the engine or supercharger that does buzz. You can really hear it if you remove the weatherstripping seal from the hood. Its only on acceleration. It got to be so annoying that I put the seal back on. So if that's what you're hearing, I'm pretty sure its normal.

 

Many thanks XJ8JR for your reply, sorry to ask a dumb question but can you please describe where this weather seal is located? also do you get this sort of noise on your car as well when accelerating from 0mph?

The seal is under the hood where it meets the windscreen cowl. Its a rubber strip held in by little clips. The buzzing noise sounded during any kind of acceleration from any speed and stopped immediately when you took your foot off the gas.
