2016 Jaguar XJ Spy Shots
Jaguar is planning the first major update for its XJ flagship sedan since the car's launch more than five years ago.
Being a mid-cycle update, the changes consist of only a few tweaks to the styling. The front bumper is new and features intakes with a different shape to those on the current XJ. The grille has also been revised and at the rear the exhaust tips have a different shape. The lights also get some tweaks it appears.
Look for the updated Jaguar XJ to hit showrooms towards the end of the year, as a 2016 model.

Looks pretty nice; I would say some subtle, sophisticated changes. Your excellent description of those changes centered on the external features. I suppose there probably won't be many interior or technical changes.
After reading your post I quickly ran to check the date on my birth certificate and assured myself that I probably won't be allowed to have a driver's license by the time any serious technical features are added to the line, bringing it into the 21st century.
N.B. - Any Jaguar designers wanting input on this topic, contact me and I'll send you a list of 20 or 30 items that you can think about.
Happy Ney Year
