2016 XJ audio button lighting

2016 XJ audio button lighting
got a 2016 XJ. The media button has absolutely no lighting at all but there is a LED light window below the button, but never lit up whether audio is ON or OFF. Is this normal? Took it to dealership, they said that is normal. I cannot believe a car with such attention to detail will leave the owner searching for the audio button in the dark, while there is a LED light underneath that button. Anybody has any clue on this ???

If you are talking about the on/off volume knob it is not illuminated and the aperture below it is for the ambient noise sensor to compensate the volume level to surrounding noise, if I am not mistaken. Give it time your hand will learn where is, even in the dark.
