I did update my infotainment software to S20C. And I see Apple car play icon but it’s showing Apple car play not available. Do we need to pay for that to get the Apple car play

 

I noticed this as well on my 2017 XJL, I have the 8" touch pro screen and when I plug in an iphone it says its not available....


Here's hoping it works in a future update but I have a feeling it is only available for the 10" screens.

 

Mine was updated to 20B1 last week via SOTA. This is either a bug and shouldn't be there or it should, but it just simply doesn't work. Why would Apple Car play be available on 10.2" only is beyond me. From what I've seen this is not a hardware limitation. I was about to upgrade my screen from 8" to 10.2" but it's not easy.
