Is it possible to swap my 2012 seats with 2016 seats on my XJL? I see plenty of the diamond quilted ones on ebay for sale second hand. Im not sure if they have the same brackets/ mounting structure. Any thing other to keep in mind if I do? Is reprogramming easy if need to be done, if not will the dealership do it and how much do you think?

 

I think your best bet is to swap the seat covers from the 2016 onto your existing 2012 seats at an upholstery shop. But until you get them both side by side you won't know if that's possible. I think it is but it's never been done. Do you have the newer seats yet or still thinking about it?

I would forget about the dealer doing anything like that at all. They simply won't be interested.
