Is there any way the sunroof can be added to participate on the global open and global close function of the windows via the remote?

Its a shame you have to turn on ignition to close the sunroof if left open.

 

Come on , there are some really clever people on this forum ( you know who you are )

Surely someone has an idea?

 

Potentially could be done I would have thought with relay, diodes and some electrickery. Would have to look at diagrams, could maybe pinch trigger wires from window global supply’s.

I didn't think there was a global open/close on the XJ. There was on my X250 XF and that did indeed include the sunroof. But the X351 . . . ?

 

There are always to do things, esp that one:

but hacking a X351 canbus is not that easy and has AFAIK not yet been done.

And given the reduced number of cars and profile of owners not as many people do work on that hack than on more popular cars driven by younger people.

Not worth the efforts in my view.

 

I was hoping it was an option that could be enabled via software - SDD / car configuration file?
