Default Air Compressor Elec. Connector Impossible to remove!

I am working on my 2011 XJL and the first thing I need to correct is that the air suspension will not engage. I know there is something wrong, but not fully sure what. When I bought it, I knew of this problem, but don't have the history. overall, components all look like they are in good shape. I have narrowed it down to the air suspension computer or compressor. One thing I found was the massive 60amp (or maybe it is 40?) fuse was blown. I replaced it and checked the other fuses related and everything checks out. I was going to use my power probe to manually invoke the compressor, but that's way too many amps required for my power probe, I think. Anyway, I have a 2012 XJL for a parts vehicle that has a working compressor. I was just going to swap as a test. No problem getting the parts compressor out, but the compressor in my project will not give up it's hold on the electrical connector no matter what I do. I have tried picks, vice grips in as much as I could and it's holding on for dear life. I did think that maybe, just maybe, whatever popped the fuse caused the electrical connectors to somehow fuse or solder themselves together and while I guess anything is possible, since the wires look to be in pristine shape, as well as the plastic wire clip, I doubt that is the case. In the absence of evidence, that which requires the least amount of assumptions is usually correct. Anyone have similar issues removing this harness? Any tips (even those who haven't had the issue?)

Mike

Default

I got it. It wasn't soldered or anything, just really difficult to get off. I was able to get it off by inserting a flathead in the slot and kind of prying backward slightly that released the tab.
