Default Any MityVac users?

I recently purchased one of these to change engine oil of my X351, after years of struggling with the mess created by cheap hand pumps. I also like the graduated reservoir, showing me for the first time how much oil I'm using between changes.
If you have one of these, is it possible to detach the suction hose from the device after using? I can't seem to pull it out, and the ridgid tubing makes storage difficult if still attached to the unit.

Yes, I have the MV7201, and the hose is easily detachable from the push-in fitting.
You can review around 1:45 in this video to see how to use these types of fittings:

Thanks for the helpful video. I wish I'd have seen it before buggering the fitting trying to remove the hose. Looks like I'll need to replace that fitting, and should lose a few inches of tubing.
