My headlights are on when in drive all the time during day/night even tho I have it set on Auto Why is it like this ? these cars do have daytime running lights do they not?

 

In AUTO, the lights turn on when it gets dark, and off when it gets light (It's in the manual). The LEDs on the pre 2016's are side lights. Post 2016 the LEDs are always on. There is a fix on the pre '16's to have the LEDs always on.

The problem is my LEDs do not turn on my lights turn on all the time even when there is sunshine in AUTO mode

 

The DRL setting for Scandinavian and Canadian markets keep your low beams On all the time, even stalk are set for AUTO. It can be changed by SDD. I first set it off Sca / Can settings for normal mode, but then i changed it back, because i like that fellow drivers on traffic will notify me and don´t example change lane over me. Kind of same idea why motorbikers like to have bit louder exhaust, so truckkers can hear them. (tiny bike are hard to spot from mirrors)
