Default Auto full beam assist and traffic sign recognition

Hi all - hoping someone can help

I’ve noticed that my AHBA no longer works; I leave for work at 3:30 in the morning via a country lane therefore I know it’s definitely not working. I’ve checked the setting in the menu and the stalk is set up auto - to no avail. I have noticed that when I get in the car in the morning the green auto light symbol flashes on and off for a period - not sure of this gives a clue

Secondly - and possibly related - the traffic sign recognition works intermittently as in the option in the menu is sometimes greyed out. On the occasion it’s not greyed out and I select it it works fine until I turn the car off. I then have to re-select the setting (if it’s available) when I restart

Lastly (and I need to check this) I’m fairly sure the headlights (on auto setting) are permanently on

could it be a battery thing?!

any help would be greatly appreciated

High beam assist can be deactivated or activated with the high beam stalk. I forgot exactly how, but it should be in your manual. I think you have to hold the pass to flash (pull and hold the stalk toward you) and the light on the dash should respond. I'm going from memory and might be incorrect, but it's something like that.

Yep - I’ve tried that reset combination. Randomly it did with this week (for one, one way trip only the green “auto” light stayed on - then it went again (having not changed /touched anything!)

The green AHBA symbol now flashes for 5-10 seconds when I first get in the car and then disappears. Any idea what this means?

Would that not cause the lights to be constantly on?

Is the camera replacement difficult?

As I understand it, it's a camera for the AHBA/ Traffic signs but a sensor for lights on/off.

I am not a DIY person, but I can't imagine that replacement is that difficult (but I certainly wouldn't recommend replacing anything based on my inexpert musings!)
