Default Blind spot unavailable

My 2016 xjl portfolio occasionally has the
“Blind spot system unavailable “ come on. Dealership cannot figure out why. It will start working again after restarting the car or after driving a while. Anyone else have or had this issue and what did you have done to fix the issue?
Thanks

Do you drive for a prolonged distance next to a wall? Here there's a stretch on 880, in the outside lane, that makes that warning come on, every time. There's a concrete divider quite close to the lane.

Seems like a signal from the sensor for too long will trigger an error.

Jakes, like was said, if you are near an object while driving for too long, the system thinks it has failed, and will give the error message. I have a spot on the access road where I work that as I leave, I will occasionally get the error message to come up all because I was a little to the right in the lane and the little wooden fence they have was picked up. You will also find that it will be more prone to lock in when it is wet outside. The sensor is right behind the rear wheels and seems to get a lot of spray on it and can be affected.
