I notice a plug in the front bumper for the block heater on my 2014 xjl. Does anyone find a cord to put some électricity in that? Does the block heater is 120 volts? The dealer doesn't seem to know much about that...

A common extension cord should work. 120 volts is standard in North America, and should be appropriate.

 

It is not a standard plug.

I've asked about it at my dealership too but they were not helpful.

Anyone know with certainty?

 

Going from memory from posts elsewhere on the forum, I think the there is a short jumper cable that is required. I think there was an argument that it should have come with the car and not have to be purchased separately. Or not.

There is not much info regarding where I could buy the cord exept from the dealer at 115 $. I think I will give the dealer a shot. I've pay for a block heater I can not use...

Pretty small picture. But that looks like the receptacle used on a common personal
computer. C13/C14 is the IEC type. Forget which one is the male and female.

Take the cord from your computer and see if it fits.

If not, post a bigger picture.

Oh, it's a 2014? Call the sales department or Jaguar Canada.

The block heater cord should be in the glove compartment
or somewhere in the trunk.

Not worth it if it is a computer power cable though. Everyone
has dozens lying around these days.

Here's a biger pics. Defenitively not a computer cord. I've look at the calix web site but can not find any picture like this. It's amazing to have something non-standard like this. Remember all the portable phone plug few years ago. Just apple continue to have weird plug change all the time...

I bought a 2017 FPace 20d and had the same issue regarding not having a cord to plug in the block heater. I ended up looking on kijiji and found a wrecker that had one and it was sent to me the next day. The cord is made by a company called Calix.
It was $70 including shipping and the dealer near me wanted $270
It’s worth trying to find a used one on a private ad or a wrecker that handles Jaguar and other foreign vehicle parts
This wrecker is in Alberta and ships Canada wide.

I emailed info@calix.se and they sent me local dealer info. I was able to pick up a 2.5m cable for my 2020 Jaguar FPACE 30t R-Sport... fits fine. My actual part number was 1762622 (MS 2.5 115V) $80 CDN!!!

 

@natesimon204 can you share the info about the dealer? I am based out of Canada and looking for a local dealer.
