Bluetooth music streaming with Iphone ios5
I just updated my Iphone 4 with the ios5 software update. Track and artist details of the music you are playing whilst streaming music through bluetoooth are now visible on the audio/video menu .
Streaming of music info was announced as one of the big improvements for the BT on this update.
Expat I have started to notice the same problem as you. I am beginning to think the BT is the way to go even if I have the phone hard connected to charge.

I have a new 4s (replaces an old 3GS) and I've noticed that the volume level is significantly lower when using the bluetooth connection vs the cable so I have to crank it up when connected wirelessly. It was a little lower on the old 3GS but not as low as the new phone.
The other problem I have is I use the Navigon GPS app because my GPS doesnt work over here. And now the volume on it is tied to the volume of my Napster app so if I turn the GPS app down to its not so loud turns down the volume on the Napster app. Ugh!
I updated my iPhone 4 last night to ios5 and it works great. I think the sound is better now. I also use Spotify and it doesn't show the track & artist like the iPod does now. It must be an app thing.

Since the iOS5 update, after about a minute of cable input, the phone switches on its own to bluetooth input. The option on the iPhone to switch output from bluetooth to dock becomes unresponsive for several seconds. Very annoying.
Mine does the same thing. If I have it hard wired to the iPod receptacle and have the "button" for iPod selected (it actually says the name of my iPhone, "Jeff's iPhone", it plays for a minute and then cuts out. It still shows that it's playing but without sound. If I go back to My Music and push the bluetooth "button" it switches to bluetooth and doesn't cut out. Strange There's a glitch in there somewhere. It's not that big of a deal to me because I use the bluetooth exclusively but still.............
