I'm still acclimating my self to the differences between our late, great 2012 XJ-L, and our new 2016 model. One thing I liked about the 2012 (besides the V-8 engine, of course) was the ceramic brake pads. The wheels would stay clean forever. From what I can tell, the 2016 appears to have metallic brake pads, as it seems that the wheels are "dusting" no sooner than simply driving down the driveway.


Is my suspicion correct, that the '16s have metallic pads?
