Default Brake Pads Worn indicator

How can you tell if it is the front or back pads? I think it is the front being I just had the back done about less than 10k miles ago but wanted some more insight.

I don't think you can tell, out of interest, you can buy Pagid sensors from Euro carparts for half the price of Jaguar, Pagid are also the original manufacturer of the Jaguar ones !

I just had discs, pads and sensors all round done two weeks ago on mine.
The rear pads are the second set since the car was new, the first rears were changed at 32000 miles and the second set have just been changed at 65000 miles

Sorry, just noticed you are in the US, Euro carparts are in the UK so no help to you !!!

Thanks for the reply. I'm about 80% sure it's the front but wanted a second opinion or know if there was a way to tell.

I don't think the warning message differentiates between them, so you will need to look at each set to work out which ones have worn. If your wheels don't leave much space to look through try using a dental or inspection mirror on a stick with a torch. The sensors on mine are on the front left and rear right inner pads.

If the rears where done only 10k miles ago then logically it should be the fronts unless you have a sticking caliper on the rear.
