Front sunroof blind repair on 2011 XJL
I noticed that my 2011 XJL front sunroof felt was sagging a bit. I tried to open the front sunroof blind and I heard a snap. The blind now no longer opens or closes.
I hear the mechanism turning. However, the blind looks like it separated from the turning mechanism.
Any suggestions on how to repair?

This exact issue and symptoms happened to me recently; luckily repaired while still under warranty so I am unable to attest to cost.
Service note indicates the following:
"Drop headliner and check both motors. Found front blind motor binding causing front blind failure. Install new front blind motor and clips, recheck after roof headliner install. Both blinds working normal."
Three parts are listed on the work order:
1- C2D23452 - KIT-CASTING SERV

2- C2D30280 - BLOCK-SLIDING

Car was in the shop overnight. Good luck.
