Can the parking brake be disengaged without a key?
I am pretty sure it can be for a load of reasons, but wanted to see if someone could tell me definitively. So I just purchased a repo 2012 XJL SC from auction. As with many repo's it has no keys at all. I am getting it delivered to my house and the transport company is worried because of no key? I told them it has a manual Neutral override that can be used but they they were asking about the electronic parking brake and I thought that was actually a good question because I hadn't thought of that. Seems in my research that it can be disengaged without a key, but does require power either with a jump box or good battery, etc.). That being said, I thought I'd ask you all here as either someone will know definitively. Thanks!
EDIT: Wow, fastest edit ever. I am an idiot! I already have a 2011 XJL SC in my driveway at the moment so I can try this out myself! I bought this one as a parts one for one that is in better shape. Was $900 and running, with a few issues that made it more valuable as a parts vehicle to hedge against parts scarcity in the future.
That being said, I couldn't find any info on this so I will leave it up for posterity in case someone else has the question in the future and doesn't have a second one available to them! 😂️

Ok, so some researching indicates that all that may need to be done is manually probe (or apply power) to the motor, pos. and neg. Seems older model XJs (and others) had different color wires, red/white and green/white. On the x351, it looks as though it may be Violent/Brown and Yellow/Green. Does that look right here?
