Ceramic Coating
Hi Guys,
Sorry if this has been posted before but can someone please tell a newbie like me, what are the best options for having a ceramic coat applied to my car? I'm in southern California (more sun than rain) if that matters any.
I'm not looking to spend a ton of money to get it done but I don't want to do it myself either. I really like that wet paint/glossy look.
Any recommendations?

You have two choices: (1) do it yourself, or (2) pay someone to do it. The result will be only as good as the preparation of the paint (clearcoat) before the ceramic coating is applied, and the skills of the person doing the work. Depending on the condition of your car's paint, and how good a job you want, it can cost $1,000 or more for a pro to do it right because of all the time it takes.
I've decided against spending $1400 - $1800 for professional job for each of our family's cars.
Had the kids wash, clay, I power polish wax, then applied 2 coats (24 hours apart) with Griot's ceramic wax spray.
Looks great, nice deep shine.
Very easy spray & wipe off...
$20 covered 3 cars, 2 applications each
