Changing oil and found the engine cover loose. One of the rubber grommet holders sheared off the bottom of the CF cover very cleanly! Lucky the rubber part kept it on the metal mounting pin. Just have not seen or read about it before either?
I did some searching and the rubber grommet is not available from Jaguar but there is a BMW part a forum member found that did work. BMW-13717588501. Also had a JLR C2Z25071 mentioned but no one had tried them to see if they fit other Jaguar models.
Next the rear of the cover was also loose and somehow one of the rubber biscuit's was missing. Of course JLR does not offer just the rubber part. The entire bracket is C2D3968 and it's only about $35. Not sure it comes with the rubber parts but I think it does.
The rubber I am looking for is mounted on the end of the bracket.
Does anyone by chance have a part number for just the rubber part?
I have found a couple of used brackets on EBay if it comes to that.

I've always been leery about JB Weld products since first hearing about them in early '80's, UNTIL a few years ago when a plumbing leak forced me to give their plumbing patch products a try. Since then I trust pretty much anything they sell.
Another product that would probably hold the rubber piece to the cover pretty well is Shoe Goo. I found that stuff is great for a lot of things other than holding shoes together.

The part that broke off was a hard plastic that holds the inner rubber grommet. So I was gluing hard plastic to CF.
Yes I thought that too when I first heard about it. Seemed to be a miracle in a tube type of product.
But like you over the years I have tried it and been surprised by how well it did work.
It does have limitations of course and I think that's why they now have about 20 different products. I also write the date on the container when I buy it. If you read about storage they always want a climate controlled area and 60-80 degrees. My shop just bakes in the summer so I know all the paint, glues and stuff like that are decaying rapidly in my cabinet. With dates I can throw stuff out after a couple of years. I did find that JB Weld states 3 years shelf life after opening. BUT only if the above temperature ranges were observed.
