Coolant Leak
Hi Everyone,
New member looking for help!
So I bought 1998, Vanden Plas, back in August and I'm in love with this car it only had 58K miles, one owner Florida based its great. However, I noticed my car has started to leak a little coolant. I got my coolant filled and about a month later I noticed I had to fill again after some investigating I confirmed it was leaking. So I put in a sealant and it seems as of this morning I only had one tiny drop, however now there was a big puddle of what I think is coolant because I can see the coolant sealer in the puddle in the back, There is a hose in the back by the exhaust where it came from. Does anyone have any idea what that is? The shop can't see it till next Tuesday? I'm keeping an eye on it like a hawk. I've never overheated but I want to nip this in the bud fast. When I filled the sealant my coolant tank was full and when I put in the sealant I had to wait for it flow up and drain down a bit so I definitely overfilled it. I checked this morning and I didn't see any crazy loss. I'm not a car guy so any help would be great.

There are several coolant hoses in the engine valley, at least on the XJR, I had one of those hoses start to leak. Required removal of the supercharger on mine, intake manifold on yours. Make sure to have all hoses under there replaced, only go through the labor cost once. Your leak may not be there but it is a starting point.
