Cruise control stopped working
yellow cruise light is on.but will not activate

I have 3 easy checks....I'm sure others will chime in with some more complex ideas!

1. Check to see if you have accidentally hit the ASL button next to the gear selector.
2. Check the fuses related to CC.
3. It's possible you may have a defective Brake Light Switch. The BSL contains two switches and both need to be operational for CC to work. The car will start, and the brake lights should work, with only one switch working. (Well that's my understanding anyway)

Hey, leaddfoot!

I just took my '12 out and played with the settings. Here's what I found;

If you hit ASL, you get an AMBER speedo icon, if you then hit SET an Amber arrow appears next to the speed you are travelling at. At this point you can not select CC. If you press CAN the amber arrow turns grey but the amber speedo remains. If you touch the ASL button again, the amber icon and grey arrow disappear.

Based on that, I suspect you touched the ASL button.

Edit: That's SET on the steering wheel. All CC icons are green.
