Default fitting cruise control

Hello everyone, I'm Nick from the Netherlands.

I'm currently driving een '96 cobra mustang, but I'm looking at XK8's because the cobra is annoying me more and more now that I have to daily drive it.

Anyhoo, in my search I encountered some good cars but they were missing the cruise control! To be honost, I think jaguar should've fitted all of these cars with cruise, but hey. My question is, is it possible to fit the cruise afterwards if I find one on ebay or a yard? Or would that require the ECU and wiring from a cruisecontrolled car too?

thanks!

Holy cow! I wasn't aware of any XK8's without factory cruise control. I just looked on edmunds.com and they show both the 1997 and the 2003 XK's as having cruise control as a standard feature, not an option. I didn't look at any other model years, but I can't imagine cruise control not being a standard feature. The 2003 has the cruise control on the front of the steering wheel. Perhaps the older cars have it on a stalk or something, I'm not sure. Perhaps another member can address that.

Where the car was delivered makes a lot of changes. All USA cars came with cruise as standard equipment.

ah bugger, so that would mean nobody on this forum ever had to retro fit one. There's a US model for sale near me, I might take a look at that one.
