Default Dash Vent Removal Tool

Was not sure where to post this but I have seen several suggestions on how to remove the "eye ball" vents in the dash. Usually so they can upgrade to the illuminated versions. You can bend wire around and make your own home version but there is a tool from JLR made just for this.

JLR-412-147 Register Remover. Kent Moore also makes one with the same part number so I thinks it's the exact same item. Only around $25-$50 depending on where you get it. Here is what it looks like. Has anybody got or used this tool?

Well I am going to be buying or making one of these tools very soon.

I just bought the 4 lighted dash vents on ebay for $30 each.

My plan is to de-chrome them a bit then install them to replace my original ones.

Just for FYI if you are a member of JCNA or a Coventry Foundation Patron you can simply borrow it for shipping cost!

These are the ones I bought. I troll ebay regularly looking for interesting stuff for the car. Got lucky on these I think for the price.

And I just talked the seller of those into removing the 2 rear ones from this rear console. Had to pay $45 each to get those due to seller figuring out they are somewhat rare and he had some labor involved to redo the listing. Still a good deal and now I have the complete set.
