Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Questions

if i had a Jag 2.7-3.0 diesel ,i would just remove both EGR and DPF, and put a high flow muffler on.

remap it ,removing some of the emission notices.

i'm betting on a much better performing vehicle,along with better MPG.

comon, doesnt any one in UK step out of the box?

It's a criminal offence and also invalidates insurance (which is another criminal offence since insurance is required by law), so only a stupid few.

We have crowded cities and roads with horrific air quality due to diesel pollution and thousands of deaths due to it so it's also morally abhorrent to deliberately make things worse.

The EGR valves from petrol S-Types are almost clean after many miles so this is an indication of how much particulate matter diesels create. Another of the causes of our dire air quality.

I recall some parts of the USA had terrible air quality with some awful smogs and introduced Clean Air laws....
