Default Does anyone notice this.......

First of all, i am a newbie and I want I say it's an honor to be a part of this forum. Jaguar has a legendary history that I am learning about each day using this forum. I am about to purchase a 2011 XJ next week but I wanted to know if this particular aspect of the car bothers you. I noticed that there are noticeable panel gaps between the hood and the upper portion of the bumper. The car I want to purchase is a beautiful car (Indigo Blue with London Tan.) Does this gap bother any of the owners? Did you notice it when you purchased/ your XJ?

Hmm, can you share some pics, mate? I have a 2011 XJL and am not so sure of what you are referring to.

If you go to your car and run your finger between the gap separating the hood from the upper bumper, that gap is wider than the many of the premium luxury cars I have yet driven. Including my 2004 Lexus LS430). I don't mean to be picky, but I didn't know if other owners noticed it.

I know exactly what you mean. I see it on lots of the new XJs. I suspect the factory struggle(d) with fitment issues here.

It is definitely an inconsistent gap in car-to-car comparisons.

I think the hood would benefits from a soft close treatment like you get on other high end cars. That way the dealer could go in and adjust the hood for the perfect fit.
