You don't mention the engine but I'll assume it's not the 2.0 or 3.0 litre options fitted with an oil dipstick. If so, the message is indicating a fault with the electronic oil level sensor or its harness.
This is the 5.0 litre as an example. The sensor (item 5) is fitted in the bottom of the oil sump/pan.
