My 2014 XJ has a fog lamps button on the dashboard. When I press it, a fog lamps indicator illuminates on the instrument panel. But, there appear to be no fog lamps on the front of the car, and the illumination from the front does not change when the button is pressed. What is going on? I have a button and dashboard light for a feature that is not installed?

That is correct. There are no fog lamps on the front of the car. They are on the rear to provide greater illumination to the drivers coming up behind you.

 

It would be super helpful if the owner's manual furnished this information. But thanks.
