going from xj to xjr

going from xj to xjr
hey guys, hows it going?
so i very recently got a 2014 jag xj 3.0.
been about 3 months. The car is still under warranty till September 2018. In the past 3 months its already been to dealer for some issues(oil sensor leak, water pump replacement)
now i have an itch for the xjr (can you blame me?) the power in the 3.0 is underwhelming at times. The xjr will cost me approximately 20k more than my 3.0 .
any of you who have done this or know about someone who did it, is the xjr worth the extra premium over the 3.0? any better options? i want to stick with jag because of the exclusivity of it.
but I'm open to options. 2 door coupes even.
anything you guys want to say before i do this?

Also consider the 5.0L SC with 470HP. More HP is better, but is overkill most of the time.
I have both - 4 door XJ and 2 door XKR. Totally different, like apples and oranges. Which do I prefer? It depends on the weather and my mood. They're both gorgeous and great fun, but the XKR's back seat is useless for adults and the XJ's roof doesn't go down.

Yes the best value is the XJ SC with 470HP (This is also true in the XF world) because all 5.0L SC engines are the same or nearly so and the only difference is the engine tune. So for about $1000 you can take the 470HP SC up past the stock XJR rating of 543HP.
If fact there are rumors that the ONLY difference in HP ratings are due to the throttle opening! The engines were designed and came in at over 700 HP originally but were backed down by the factory for various reasons. Note this is a rumor only!
But I am biased as I have a 2014 XJR with a AP tune and there are some things that come with the XJR that the 470HP versions do not but you are into diminishing returns at this point for the extra money involved.
The $20K difference seems too small to me so it sounds like a good deal.
