Default Help! Electrical issue

It's me again... I have a 2018 XJR vehicle was put into the shop to have rack & pinion (with motor) replaced. The mechanic called and said the new parts were put in and now it's worse. No power steering! Jaguar says it's electrical issue because they couldn't access the module to troubleshoot. Any suggestions? I appreciate the help.

A bit more background information would be helpful.

Why was the steering rack replaced?

Was the vehicle involved in an accident?

What, if any, DTCs are stored in the system?

The electric Rack & Pinion was replaced and a new battery (the one in the trunk)
we have power now and steering is great when the car is on the lift but as soon as it's lowered to the ground the steering is tight again.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Are the steering wheel straight when wheels are straight forward? Did you keep the Zero steering wheel position during pinion change and did the new pinion had center position when attached to the steering axle? (on modern cars you cant freely rotate the steering wheel/axle, when pinion is detached)
I think you need re-set the steering angle sensor by diag tool after pinion change?
