Default Help identifying two connectors in trunk

Bought this XJ two days ago changed the battery should have taken pics before changing not sure where these connectors go. The rear air ride is not working curious if these have something to do with that. Appreciate any help you can offer.

Red pipe should push fit into a tiny hole on the end of the battery , have a look slightly to the right of the terminal on the top of the vertical edge of the battery to allow any possible gases to escape to where the pipe runs to the outside. I guess the electrical connection may just be a connector to be temporarily connected to something prior to the car going on sale, I only mention this as I have seen other comments before mentioning this.

I remembered the battery connection after posting this, I can't find a connection for the connector anywhere. Thanks for your reply!

The red plastic angled connector is for the battery vent pipe. This is my XK (connector arrowed) but the principle is the same:

The other end should pass through a grommet to exit beneath the vehicle.

The white electrical connector is for the Transit Relay used during shipping to the dealership. The relay is removed during PDI and the then spare connector tucked out of the way .......... until some inquisitive owner inevitably finds it.

I've never actually seen a Transit Relay but here's a drawing of the setup:

That vent pipe seems to get sacrificed a lot by unaware owners. When I swapped my battery out a few weeks ago I found that tube loose and even pulled out of the floor grommet. It is a PITA to get it back thru the grommet.

My battery swap was uneventful. Car seemed to hardly notice. Had to reset a few things but that took minutes.

FWIW I have never used a maintainer on any of my Jaguars. After I replaced the battery I have even started leaving it unlocked in the garage to see if it would have any adverse effect on the battery. So far nothing is different and I only drive that car a few times a week at most. My car did get a lot of software updates over the years so am wondering if they worked out the issues that have caused the bad rep that lingers.
