How Much Did You Pay?
Has anyone started a “how much did you pay” thread here? If so, moderators please delete this one.
Thought the data might be interesting to anyone looking to purchase new or used to make a more informed buying decision and help current owners know if they got a good deal or not.

My brother bought his 4 months earlier from the same dealer for $60k (only options were wheel locks and wood steering wheel). That much of a discount off MSRP did not sound right to me but I didn’t give it much thought since I was not in the market for a car, even though he kept telling me he could get me into one for the same price.
Then in March he picked me up for lunch in DC. Yep, I had to have one. By then the deal had sweetened so I got mine for $5k less.

I bought my 2012 XJ (Base) with the 5.0L engine with 33K on the ODO. As for upgrades, I don't think there many on this one other than the illuminated door sills and the 12 way seats. I bought it 3 years old for $41K in May 2015. Looking around, a lot of others that were similar were up in the high 40/low 50 rainge. So, when I saw this, I had to get it. As I was filling out the paperwork, 4 other people had come in for the same exact car.
The one thing that was added to mine that most don't have is Lo-Jack. That is a nice feature for peace of mind. Hence the name, Jackie.
