I just recently purchased a 2016 Jaguar xj l (love it) and am looking for some illuminated door sills. I've looked on ebay but haven't seen any that look like they will fit a 2016. Has anybody found any that will fit? Can you forward the link? Thanks in advanced

 

msp843, go to Jaguar Parts, put in your car information and from there, you can find the door sills under the body parts section. If I remember right, the plugs are already under the door sills that you currently have. So, getting them to work should be no issue. As for price, well, be ready for a shock.

They're "officially" called scuff plates in the Jaguar parts catalogs.

They don't show illuminated scuff plates for the rear.

I believe that the 2016 scuff plates are aluminum, which accounts for the significantly lower prices than in earlier models that were stainless steel.

Front, R&L are the same as the SWB, above. Rear are different.

Fronts are the same size for swb or lwb, but rears are different - longer for the lwb models.

I believe, but am not absolutely certain, that the stainless steel illuminated scuff plates from the pre-2016 model years will fit the 2016 model. To be certain, ask your Jaguar dealer.

Will the 2016 illuminated door sills fit earlier XJ's or XJL's? That is a significant savings per door. And since I am planning on buying some very soon I would love to save a few dollars.

 

I think they will, but check with your dealer to be sure. See my Post #3, above.
