Default Incontrol won't play through the cars audio?

I'm new to the XJ Forum however a long time user on the F Type Forum. Specifically, I just purchased a 2016 XJL so the F Type would have a friend in the garage. I am very pleased with the car however, not surprised I'm having an infotainment challenge. When I dock my iPhone to the USB and launch Incontrol all of the icons appear on screen. I'm able to access my calendar and contacts just fine. When I select Spotify or Audio Books those icons also appear on the cars screen. Additionally, I can run Spotify on the cars screen however, the music plays only through the phone and not through the cars Meridian system!?

Any guidance will be much appreciated...

Dave

I have a 2012 XJL and I don't use Iphones. However, just guessing, I would say you need to select a different source in the Audio/Video option. Probably need to select "AUX". Just a guess.

Thanks for the input, I have an appointment on the 28th with the dealer to diagnose and fix this issue.

I'll post the result...
