Default Installing Fuel Injetor Question

Fist time installing fuel injector Question is how much do I push it in until it stops? is pushing it in by hand sufficient Should I hit it with something like rubber mallet ? pulling them out was hard I am guessing putting them back in is going to be easy

Once the injector Teflon seals are correctly sized, and the injector bores in the head are cleaned, they simply drop into the bores. DO NOT hit them with anything. The fuel rail is what correctly locates them and keeps them securely in the cylinder head.

If it hasn't been mentioned earlier, do not use any kind of lubricants in the injector bores or the Teflon seals on the injectors will leak.

I will add that I use brass brushes to clean the injector bore after removal and before installation. I had a good bit of junk in the bores and felt better after giving them a good cleaning. I think it also helped as my injectors were a dream to get out and reinstall. I was expecting much worse!

Please use the resizing tool even if you get injectors with the seals already installed. I also recommend to SLOWLY push the resizing tool on and then wait a bit to allow the Teflon to cold flow into place. I smeared several Teflon seals in my hurry to size them. I also recommend to get a service kit with additional O-Rings, Teflon seals and metal clips as it's easy to damage any of those and the hardware kits are only about $20 for a set of 8. Just a cheap backup if things get damaged.

Where does the cleaned junk go? falls onto the piston? no way of getting it out? maybe with a vacuum ?

Does anyone know the torque setting of the valve cover? and the fuel rail?

I checked AllDataDIY not there and could not find it in the manual

Once the injector seals are on are they supposed to be 100% snug because I can still spin mine it this normal?

I guess you don't remember? I have posted all of this with detailed pictures? Again and again please use this forum to it's advantage and do some searches? All this has been gone over before?

I used compressed air thru the spark plug holes as I was wire brushing the injector bores. That's why I said I got a good bit of debris out because they way I did it the crap comes blasting back out of the injector ports. It does NOT fall into the cylinders!

Yes injectors will spin? Again please look? What would keep them from rotating? They are not keyed into the cylinders? I ALWAYS rotate the injectors if they pop off the rail. It's a good way to loosen them up a bit more if your pulling them out one by one.

I mean the Teflon seal spins even after sizing them are they supposed to be tight so they don't spin?

If they've been properly sized using the two stages of the tool, they should be fairly tight on the injector tip. I don't recall ever attempting to rotate them once they've been resized with the tool.
