Installing Sound Deadening Mat (KilMat) behind rear seats
Hello everyone, I’ve installed kilmat in the trunk yesterday, and it reduced my exhaust noise/drone pretty noticeably. But it’s still pretty bad. I want to install kilmat behind my rear seats to help a little more. My question is there is a foam mat or something behind the seat, is that easily removable? If so should I install behind that mat and then reinstall the mat or should I just remove the mat after installing? Or should I just install over the mat?

On my 2014 there is a big thick rubber mat behind the rear seats. Not sure you would gain much by adding to that?
You can inspect this mat by putting the rear seat arm rest in the down position. Then the fabric cover underneath can be peeled back as it's Velcro. There is also another fuse box the mat covers.
Take a look and see what you think?
