A generalization, but useful for comparison purposes. Move from New Jersey to North Carolina and cut your car insurance in half! Save almost 2/3 if you move to NC from Louisiana. I was surprised that California wasn't higher, but it's a big state with lots of differences between LA and other locales.

I can back up the NV numbers. Insurance is stupid expensive here.

 

I'm paying $600 for a year here in Arkansas for full coverage. That might be capital city rates. Not out here in the boonies. Or maybe that's for a 16 year old kid? Not an old slow retired guy like me.
