Jaguar Script on Trunk
How do you install the Jaguar script on the trunk?
I know some have debaged their Jaguars but on mine the only thing that's missing on the trunk is "Jaguar." I have XJL, 5.0, and the Leaper.

retriever-007,
I'm pretty sure that each of the "J A G U A R" letters has a double-sided 3M auto trim adhesive backing, just like the other trim. If so, then before you affix the letters to the trunk you need to prep the trunk lid surface with alcohol to remove all wax and grease and then wipe that area with 3M adhesion primer (available on Amazon or your local auto parts store) to insure a good bond.
The hard part is proper alignment of the individual letters. I'm not sure if they come with a template, but if they don't, good luck! I'd leave the letters off rather than risk putting them on lopsided. I think the trunk looks fine without the letters, even though mine has them. Seems redundant to have both.
If this was helpful, please press

An old adage of instructing (which I did in the Army) is: "first you tell them what you are going to tell them, then tell them, and then tell them what you told them".
Having just the "Leaper" on your trunk/boot lid is not enough. You have to spell it out for ignorant Americans.
In addition you may need grill badges like your regional Jaguar Clubs of North America badge and/or an Union Jack flag with "England" emblem, both of which I display just to hopefully inform people of what is the make and origin of the beautiful car they are staring at.
You can apply the "J-A-G-U-A-R" letters using masking tape to guild you with their placement and spacing. Just take your time and think things through. You can always remove a misaligned letter after applying it, by using a heat gun (i.e. hairdryer) to loosen it (perhaps with the aid of dental floss) and then re-position it. It's not rocket science.
Good luck. "Nothing ventured, nothing gained."
