Jaguar XJ 2011 steering wheel removal/replacement
hey guys I need some help with replacing the steering wheel on my 2011 Jaguar XJ. I want to remove it and replace it with a wood one however I can not find where the screws are to remove the airbag or where to start. If anyone has any instructions that would help tremendously, thank you!

There are no screws, only spring catches.
1) Turn the wheel left 120 degrees so the cruise switches are at the top-centre.
2) Insert a flat blade into the triangle hole at the rear of the wheel where it joins the steering column.
3) Turn the blade 1/4 turn clockwise when looking at it from the driver seat. The spring catch will release.
4) Turn the wheel right 120 degrees so the volume switches are at the top-centre.
5) Repeat the blade release steps, but this time turn the blade anti-clockwise.
6) Return the wheel to the normal position and disconnect the battery. Wait 2 minutes for the SRS capacitors to discharge before simply lifting the airbag module off from outside the car and unplugging it. Store the airbag module in a safe place where it cannot kill anyone by shooting up in the air should it detonate. In the rear footwell is convenient.
Then to remove the wheel it is just the central bolt and connectors. The new wheel should be installed to the shaft in the same position (use a pen to mark the top spline and transfer to the new wheel). The central bolt should be tightened to 40 Nm. Note the way the airbag cables are routed when removing it. It should be curled over 270 degrees like a pigs tail to ensure it doesn't get trapped.
