Looks nice, but besides the wheels and rear console, what's different?

I would suspect not much but I could be wrong. Seems like the iPads come standard and the reading lights, champagne chiller are new as well. Also on the outside looks like it has the chrome surrounds around the faux vents in the front like a XF-R.

I'd have to get one of those little black chauffer's caps to wear to drive that one! Wouldn't mind being hauled around in the back seat though.

Looks like they ditched the Bowers & Wilkins sound system in favor of Meridian, and oddly enough, this version sports a GPS "shark fin" as well as the interior antenna pod.

Besides the bar and tv I don't see any changes.

Lovely car. Just doesn't look like a Jaguar though. Yeah, I know... to each his own

The truth of the matter is the ones that looked like a Jaguar were outdated and not selling! The restyled XJ and the XF are the new face of Jaguar sedans and will undoubtedly save the company. In a few years that look will instantly be recognizable as a Jaguar. Sometimes, change is good.

The new XJ got my business! If there wasn't a design enhancement, I'd be in another dang 7 series

"The truth of the matter is the ones that looked like a Jaguar were outdated and not selling!"

Aesthetics (look) never involved truth.... just preference.

And, I commented on look not on business.

Will be curious to compare the passion for the two models in another dozen years

Like you said, "to each his own".

However, if the majority of buyers have a preference for the new look, then Jaguar's business will continue to improve. That is the truth.

Time will tell, but I've owned several of the old style XJ's and welcomed the updated modern design. Even the new F type will have the "family" front grill style and headlight treatment.

I'd drool over that car. It's gorgeous. Granted, all the new (2010+) XJs are gorgeous, but I am happy to be picking up my first Jaguar, an XF, tomorrow. The XJs are both way too big and a bit too $$$ for me.

I fell in love with Jaguar as a brand because of the new XJ. Staying in Boston for a few days last summer, my hotel had a complimentary chauffeured 2011 British Racing Green XJ L for guests use. It was the highlight of my trip. I think I took 10 or 12 rides in that car over the 4 day period. Thats actually a great promotional opportunity for Jaguar...they made a customer out of me that way.
